My favorite tea party. Sarah’s wedding with afternoon tea at Lairmont Manor in Bellingham, Washington.

Spa Bridal Shower: Sarah’s favorite foods, Hibiscus flower champagne cocktail, quinoa and yam cakes (from Keenan’s at the Pier), assorted cheeses with honeycomb.

Treats and gifts were followed by mani/pedis at the Chrysalis Spa. Not shown, of course, my gold toes to match the bride.

Lunch at Katie’s Pizza and Pasta in Rockhill. Wood Roasted chicken pizza (with Gorgonzola, kale, roasted garlic and balsamic) and Fried Artichoke Salad (with pistachios and goat cheese).

I am definitely getting this salad again but may have to try pasta next time. Everything on the menu sounded so good it was tough to choose!

Ben’s fish and chips and my grilled salmon taco at Anthony’s along the waterfront in Seattle. Local microbrew wheat beer and clam chowder also consumed.

Breakfast in Seattle included an Acai Berry bowl and Detox shot (beet, apple, carrot and mint) from Eat Local.

The Rawnola used contains barley groats, among other wonderful things. Other items in the bowl: Acai, coconut milk, goji berries and mulberries.

Kell’s Irish Pub for dinner and music (because Ben missed his Monday night at McGurk’s)

Dining Diva Spa Day with “Native to the Americas” Inspired Menu

My new favorite way to eat tempeh: Waldorf Tempeh Salad with blue cheese on carrot curls and pea shoots. I cut the mayo down by subbing Greek yogurt.

Pea shoots redeemed this otherwise dull salad. The olive tapenade-based dressing was a bit overpowering though.
